I've noticed a comment on the microsoft live page asking how to uninstall the gadget.
Installation works the same as with any other gadget:
1. Right click on the sidebar
2. Click "Add Gadgets"
3. Right click on "Neopets Assistant"
4. Click "Uninstall"
Hey presto, it's gone, however some people have noticed that it pops up saying permission denied, I think this is due to a problem with the sidebar itself, it can be resolved by restarting it.
To restart it:
1. Right click on the sidebar icon in the system tray 
2. Click "Exit"
3. From your start menu, navigate to "Windows Sidebar", by default this is in "All Programs/Accessories"
Then go through the usual steps above.
